Yo! My name is Kyle Smith, head coach at Equipped Training Systems. Thanks for taking the time to check out our page.
I’ve been Personal Training in the Boston area for the last 4 years, originally from the small town of Rutland, Ma. When I’m not training others or myself, you can find me golfing, working on DIY project at home, at a trail somewhere with my dogs, Brady and Lincoln, or watching my New England sports teams dominate their competition.
I graduated from the University of Maine with my B.S. majoring in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) and minoring in Business Administration. After graduating I began my career in personal training working with individuals of all shapes, sizes and abilities ranging from busy adults who are just starting their workout journey, to high performing youth and collegiate athletes.
Here are all of the fancy credentials I can attach to my name:
ACE Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
NASM- Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES)
Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) Level 1
My training philosophy is simple and based off a results driven approach, treating everyone as you are and creating the best plan to get you where they want to be, in a way that works best for YOU. My training principles are based off the newest research from most highly credited sources in the ever growing fitness field. I’m a big believer in the KISS principle “Keep It Simple, Stupid”, and find that the most proven and effective methods are based off a mastery of understanding the basic principles that are often over-complicated. A good coach can always keep the basics fun and progressive (without checking Instagram for the newest trending way to do one-legged squats with bands and chains on a Bosu ball… because stability…)
Can you only commit to an hour at 5am to sneak in a workout with the equipment that’s been collecting dust for years? See you there.
Think you may benefit from video training ensuring workout compliance and proper coaching? #Zoom2020.
Need that coach to guide you through the workout and hold you accountable? I got you.
